The Diabetes Prevention and Control Program (DPCP), is pleased to present findings from recent focus group research entitled, Beliefs and Perceptions of Mexicans, Cubans, and Puerto Ricans Residing in Three Florida Counties with Type 2 Diabetes. This publication describes the understanding, knowledge, and perceptions of diabetes among participants. The DPCP hopes that this publication will help health care providers and community-based intervention projects to improve the effectiveness of diabetes care and health education among Hispanics.
